A new passion of mine is drawing homes and other architectural structures, using pen and ink. As a meditation practice, I don't use pencil or a ruler. I like to challenge myself to stay in the moment, using only my eye and free hand as my guide. Being a pianist, both classically and jazz trained since the age of 4, my technique and precision has been trained into my hands through music. This lends a unique and fresh perspective to my house portraits. This is a great gift that can be used as a letterhead,
postcards or a beautiful rendition of a home or building you love.
1. My prices range between $250-$450 depending on the size and detail of the picture, and size of the paper. I request a 50% non-refundable deposit before starting a drawing. Your house portrait will be shipped upon receipt of your payment in full. I accept payment through checks and paypal.
2. Please e-mail 3 to 4 high resolution photographs of the house or structure you would like drawn, at the angle you prefer. It is best to take the pictures on a sunny day to help highlight details. Please keep in mind that it is preferable not to have any obstructing images in the drawing when taking your pictures, ie: vehicles, telephone wires, toys, etc.
3. Paper Sizes: 8.5x 11 or 11x14
4. I will e-mail you, confirming that I have received the images and your paper size request. If there are any questions about the picture I will let you know. At this point I will also quote you on how much the piece will cost and you'll send me the 50% deposit.
5. Once the image is agreed upon, it will take between 1-4 weeks for me to finish the drawing, depending on size, workload and my schedule.
6. Once the picture is finished, I will e-mail you a jpg of the final version. If you approve the version, you will send me the second half of the payment and I will send you the original print.
7. Please include $12.50 for shipping, handling and insurance and allow a week to 10 days for delivery.
