Lizzie Bio

"The journey West shared was perhaps what anyone looking for freedom, love and self might experience, but she has a uniquely effortless, and charming, way of telling the tale." - LA Times

BIO

Lizzie West grew up in Manhattan and, during her formative years, she developed a deep passion for creating and performing while watching her mother produce hit musicals on Broadway. In 1993, when Lizzie was 18, she wrote and produced a children's musical on Off Broadway. She then went on to launch her career as a songwriter and performer. Since then, Lizzie has released two albums on Warner Bros. Records, one on Appleseed Records, and two independently. Several of West's songs have been featured in radio, film, and TV–including the popular film "Secretary." She has had over ten years of national touring experience. In 2010, she was a co-creator and co-host of "This Abundant Life," a 50 episode web-cast with a devoted grassroots audience. In addition to being a songwriter/performance artist, Lizzie is a blogging author, playwright, philosopher, poet, illustrator, graphic artist, video editor, music producer, and, most importantly, a happy mama to her beloved daughter Louise.
